Someday
Won't happen if it remains just someday. It's gotta be today. A tumultuous year, one filled with the bittersweet taste of life. That's how it comes and that's how it should be enjoyed. You know, one of these days I'll just regurgitate like a mass of content to make up for its current poverty. Doesn't look like it'll be before the new year though, but, soon.

Is This Hello Goodbye?
Can you feel the pains in life? Wrapped around you like they're chains Restricting all your dreams Do you wonder if there is a way? A way to set you free Set you free
So tell me all your dreams Tell me all your fears and what you're longing for the most It's not another way That'll end up the same for it's under my control
Do you feel the winds of change? Soon this weight will fall away And take you to a place Only found through these winds of change A breeze that's new and free New and free
So tell me all your dreams Tell me all your fears and what you're longing for the most It's not another way That'll end up the same for it's under my control
I'll be the one who you can cry to The one who will give you wings I will give wings
Someday we'll sail away Mounted up on wings like eagles We will run and will not fade away
So tell me all your dreams Tell me all your fears and what you're longing for the most It's not another way That'll end up the same for it's under my control
I'll be the one who you can cry to The one who will give you wings I will give wings
The one who will give you wings I will give you wings To set you free The one who will give you wings I will give you wings To set you free The one who will give you wings

I Need Words
I need words As wide as sky I need language wide as This longing inside And I need a voice Bigger than mine And I need a song to sing you That I've yet to find I need you, oh I need you I need you, oh I need you To be here now To be here now To here me now To here me now

Sometimes, we all need that jolt in life to wake up, wake up from our slumber, our friggin stupid humanistic slumber. And maybe that jolt comes soft, or maybe it comes hard. Our pride and sin and anger and jealousy and hate, comes to nought, and brings us to nought. Please Lord, would you be with him right now wherever he is, be there now. I don't know what to say or think or feel, but Lord, be here now, for all of us.

Don't Touch Me! Right Calf Left Shin!
I slept at 1am, and woke up at 4.30am, proceeding to head down to the Stanchart start line near Esplanade. I met Josh at Supreme Court Lane, and we packed our stuff before checking it in with the baggage handlers. In these wee hours of the morning, at ~ 6.15am (in Australia the sun would be loooooooong up and irritating birds would be ..... irritating me) when it was still dark, our half-marathon began. I'm elated to say that this is my first successful 21.1km! Yay! *much rejoicing* Not only did I manage to maintain a decent pace throughout, I even put some gas in it the last few km! By about 15km, I felt good enough to have an idea that I would make it through unscathed this time, unlike very seksi previous attempts which ended in lactic acid misery. Ironically, my first time was after "army training" and the second was expected, because I was clearing leave and did zilch for training. I vowed never to do this to myself again, so even though I only had a week or so left to train after returning from Brisbane, I managed to clock 10, 12, 15, and 18km in preparation. Good stuff in the end, because I achieved my goal of running a sub 2 hour 21.1km. Praise God! Joshua did exceedingly well for a first-timer, and Edwin somehow managed to conquer his 42km in over 6 hours (6 very gruelling hours, in which time Josh and I managed to complete our run, take 106 to church, shower, stick around and chat to people, then go to Jumbo for lunch). All in all, our prayers were answered as we found favour with our bodies and completed our runs in good time and without injury, save for *coughedwins* cramping calves.
After collecting our bags from the collection area, I was headed back to the Padang when I realised there was this lady sprawled awkwardly on the pavement right next to the road. She was beseeching people not to touch her, because apparently she'd cramped bad and was in a bad state lol. I raised an eyebrow when she exclaimed to the medics coming to her aid "Don't touch me! I cramped! Right calf left shin!!" Her attention to detail was impeccable.
