what lies ahead?
the window has opened! time to apply for uni. i remmeber it was not too long ago i was thinking hmm army is the time to seek God and see where he is leading me. Somehow all that went out the window and with not too much time left(i have till 21 Feb), I gotta apply for a place. One chance, one opportunity. Ok will prolly just send everything out and really take what comes(or does not come) as God's will.
annnyway, did my duty on tuesday, an "unofficial" public holiday, so on a Chinese New Year's holiday, I gave to the SAF my contribution for free. I do not get a day off for duty on that day because according to my new CO, it is not an "official" holiday(tuesday is carried forward from Sunday really), so duty personnel sit pretty and suck their thumbs. Lovin' it.
Really really soon gonna be pulled hands legs head heart mind into IMF, and i haven't even handed over anything to SSG Ho yet! The situation heats up; i don't want to be caught out with two job scopes. This kinda accelerates things and I'm really eager to get Staff to get his hands-on going and take overrrrrr. It has been decided i will handle number crunching for all kinds of schedules and manpower/logistical requirements. God please lend a helping hand for my e math has eroded a fair bit over the years and i don't know those cool uncommon excel formulas yet...
I envy those who are ORD'ing in April; they talk about it like half the time and gets me thinking "yeah that's where i wanna be" before reality snaps back and i look at my ORD date, September 30 2006. Somehow that's a long way to go with the workload i deal with. And CO has this new thing. Thou shalt only keep 5 days total leave/off for clearance. So my official clearance happens like uhm, one week before my ORD date. happy happy thoughts.
i have trailed in my Bible reading plan, but hey i still make progress. However, i'm like 10 days behind! lol, maybe i should take my mum's advice and take New Testament this year and Old Testament next.
